How Many Blogs Is Too Many Blogs?

Commenting on blogs to increase backlinks to your blog is nothing new. People have left comments on blogs for this very reason for, well, just about as long as blogging has been around. Unfortunately, due to bad blogging advice, automated blog commenting software, and leaving the wrong comments on the wrong blogs – leaving comments on blogs to increase backlinks is quickly becoming a dead practice.

Blogs have communities of their own. There are blog networks, blog directories, and lists of friends in most blog accounts. You’d be able to expose your main website’s link to a brand new audience because of this.

On the other hand, I say this with a sheepish smile, since share are free, I set up another blog in Google for my family and friends where I simply post pictures of the family and news about them. This I have no need to be picked up by web search engines, and just pass out the URL to my kids and close friends. Which is another way to use blogs.

Everyone knows that Blogs are the future of the internet, they are search engine friendly and get listed very quickly, which is why many people are hosting their blogs on their own servers now because they see the importance to their business. The last thing any Internet Business Owner wants to happen is that their blog is shut down at Blogger or any other free blog hosting site.

Another advantage is that blogs were as easy to use as a word processor application. This made it simple to use for people who did not know how to program. As the blog programs advanced, programmers started switching. Now there are many ways to adapt a blog and give it a unique feel.

Since blogs allow people to update regularly and tell personal stories, readers soon started following blogs of people they know. People also started following different blogs because the writer had an appealing style, an interesting subject or for some other reason. Blogs keep information flowing between the writer and reader, or the company and their readers. Sometimes people follow blogs just to see what kind of conflict or confrontations the writer will inflict!

Creative bloggers that know how to manage their time can successful manage multiple blogs and keep them all running successfully. If a blogger cannot keep up with all their blogs, they may have to make a decision to bring in help or get rid of one blog.
